Nitrate Action Plan Sewer Construction

MPM Engineering is presently serving as the resident engineer to monitor sewer construction for the second phases of construction located in the Chico Urban Area. Our responsibilities include construction inspection services of sewer mains, laterals and lift stations, labor compliance support, project administration, and public outreach support. Construction on the first phase began in February 2009 and was completed in Spring 2010 at a total cost of $2.6 million.  Phase 2, located in Chapman-Mulberry, is slated to begin construction during the Summer of 2011.

Chico Urban Area Nitrate Compliance Plan

Providing technical support to the County for sewer construction activities that began in February 2009.  Assisting Butte County with public education and outreach. MPM’s support services are scheduled on an as-needed basis through 2010.

Butte County Nitrate Action Plan Project Report

and Revenue Program

Assisted in the planning aspects a $50 million capital improvement project to install sanitary sewers in the urban areas of Chico presently relying on septic tanks. Developed a preliminary project schedule and financial package to convert 7,800 households from septic systems to the local sewer.  Assisted the County and joint powers authority in preparing a project report and revenue plan to pursue  State Revolving Fund (SRF) financing.  An SRF loan of $39 million was approved by the State Water Resources Control Board.
